Ciaran McElhinney is a professional multi-instrumentalist with 30 years of experience playing a variety of string instruments.

He teaches a wide range of instruments but specialises in guitar, banjo and mandolin.

Ciaran's unique teaching approach is centred around teaching you what you want to learn – be it mastering basics, perfecting specific techniques, or learning to play your favourite song.

Throughout his career Ciaran has played everywhere from pubs, clubs and festivals across Northern Ireland to performing on stage at the Ulster Hall.

Ciaran's own on-stage support credits include Horslips, Alabama 3, Hothouse Flowers, The Fureys, Pat McManus, Henry McCullough, Ronnie Greer, Bap Kennedy, Mike Denver and many more...

Learning with Ciaran

• Tailored Lessons: Ciaran focuses on what you want to learn, whether it's basic skills, special techniques, or specific songs.
  

• For All Ages: Lessons can be provided to individuals from age 7 and up. Parents can join their children or wait in a neighbouring room, Ciaran operates an open door lesson policy.
  

• Flexible Booking: Book single sessions or save by booking a set of 5 or 10 lessons. No minimum booking required.
  

• Other Services: Beyond instrument lessons, Ciaran also offers songwriting lessons, song development guidance, and small group sessions.
  

• Location: Lessons take place at Ciaran's studio in North Belfast
